The 2018 race season is fast approaching and to say it’s been a smooth journey since my 2017 season finished would be telling a lie. It’s been a rollercoaster ride but I’m more determined than ever to deliver my best results to date.

As you know, in November, I had to take some time off training to get over a prolonged virus which seems to have knocked more out of me than I would like to admit. I am currently on a low intensity training plan, advised by medical professionals, to allow my body time to recover…I can’t wait for next week when I can resume my full training programme in preparation for my first race of the season, the Elite British Duathlon Championships.

A big part of what has been keeping me motivated over the last few months is the great support I have from my sponsors, I truly couldn’t be in better company this year…

  • Rutland Giant Store and Giant/Liv UK will be supporting me for another year, providing me with the 2018 Liv Langma Advanced Pro to ensure I’m riding in style. I have loved being a part of their Liv ambassador scheme and I know that I can always count on them for kitting me out, setting me up, and helping me maintain my bikes throughout the year.

  • Sundried is next up and I am very excited to be representing their brand in 2018 after a great 2017 with such a vibrant company. I’ll certainly look the part this year training and racing in their apparel.

  • Lastly, is this year’s exciting addition of Yellow Jersey and their partners; British Triathlon, Kitbrix, ROKA, Garmin, SIS, Training Peaks, and Castle Triathlon. I was pretty overwhelmed when I secured the Yellow Jersey Scholarship and haven’t wasted any time utilising the support to enhance my training and racing opportunities.

Here’s to a great season in great company!

Over and out,
